Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone, Wyoming: Lower Yellowstone Falls from Artist's Point
Poster Size: 22 x 28 inches
Flowing north from Yellowstone Lake, the Yellowstone River cuts through
the Grand Canyon of the Yellowtone and remnants of a rhyolite lava flow.
At 308 in height or nearly twice as high as Niagara, Lower Yellowtone is
the largest major waterfall in the Rocky Mountains in volume. In 1872
Yellowstone became the first national park in the world during the presidency
of Ulysses S. Grant and set the path for the eventual inclusion of other great
parks within our system.
